    * Een zoon van Arie Verbaan -Johannes Huibert- kwam om in november 1927 op de SCH 276 'Zeearend'.
    * Teunis Harteveld was de 3e generatie aan gebleven familie. Zie 1888 voor het omkomen van zijn grootvader Teunis en 1864 voor het omkomen van zijn overgrootvader Teunis. Voorts kwamen nog een tweetal ooms van Teunis op zee om het leven. Oom Teunis in 1891 en oom Cornelis in 1916.
    * De matrozen Pieter van der Harst en Arend Groen overleefden de ramp. Zij werden opgepikt door de SCH 60.
