Abraham Vijfhuijsen, alias De Prins, is enkele dagen opgesloten geweest in het gevangenhuisje vanwege belediging van dominee Lamoraal van Nottelen. Voor het gerecht herroept Vijfhuijsen zijn beledigingen en verklaart hij de dominee als een eerlijk man te respecteren. Het gerecht veroordeelt hem tot het geknield en met gevouwen handen vragen om vergiffenis.
