er is een olieverfportret van de marineofficier Bonifacius Cau (1740-1804) vervaardigd door A. Ferrero in 1765. Cau maakte na zijn marineloopbaan deel uit van het Zierikzeese stadsmuziekcollege. Hij was de achterkleinzoon van de amateurgambist mr. Nicolaes Cau, heer in Bommenede, aan wie Johan Snep zijn suites voor viola da gamba en basso-continuo opdroeg.
