Harm Sijgers wordt in het Haardstedenregister van Eelde 1744 vermeld met 2 paarden. In 1752 geeft Jacob Alberts, zoon van wijlen Lutgertien Jacobs bij Albert Roelofs tot Eelde (is Jacob Sighers Alberts, later Jacob Sijgers genoemd), voor hem en consorten de erfenis aan van zijn oom Harmen Sijgers van 400 Car. Gld. Dit betreft een vierde portie, waarmee waarschijnlijk wordt bedoeld dat Harmen en Lutgertien elk de helft bezitten van het ouderlijk huis, geërfd van hun vader. Hun moeder is dan waarschijnlijk nog in leven, want in 1754 wordt weduwe Jacob Sijgers vermeld, dit is de grootmoeder van de Jacob Sijgers die vanaf 1764 wordt vermeld.
