    Mrs. Harold (Mary E.) Hartgerink, 87, Morris, Illinois, passed away Friday evening, September 19, 2008, in Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Morris, Illinois with her loving family by her side.

    She was born on April 12, 1921 in Hartford, Conneticut, the daughter of John and Ellen Alexander Young. She was educated in schools of Stonnington, Conneticut, and graduated from Stonnington High School with the class of 1939. She graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in June of 1942, in Hartford, Conneticut.

    Mary served her country in WWII as a registered nurse in the U.S. Army and was stationed in the European Theater of Operations in the 112th Evacuation Hospital, enlisting in August of 1944, and was discharged as a Second Lt. in February of 1946.
  • She is buried in Zeeland, Ottawa, Michigan, Verenigde Staten.
