In de Bijdragen tot de Geschiedenis van Overijssel, door Mr. J.L. van Doornick, Archivaris van Overijssel en Mr. J. Nanninga Uitterdijk, Archivaris te Kampen, staat in een brief, d.d. 06 oktober 1777 dat vorige week de hr. Hagedoorn is overl.

Hij werd op 21-08-1729 in geschreven Ill.School te Deventer, en op 16-09-1732 te Leiden, hij was Servijsmeester en lid van de Staten van Overijssel, en Burgemeester van Deventer van 1745-1775, en gemeensman voor de Noordenbergstraat 1734-1745.

Hij werd begraven, op 05-10-1773 in de Lebuinuskerk en de klokken werden 1 uur voor hem geluid, met alle klokken.

Het testament van zijn vrouw Pieternella werd geopend 08-06-1780 (Boek geopende testamenten, Deel III, blz. 180, Deventer Archief)
