Notes about Pieter Marius Mantje

Pieter had in 1933 op 30 ha weiland en zes ha dijken en bermen zijn tbc-vrije rundvee en 144 stuks wolvee. In 1935 had hij 16 ha land gescheurd en op 19 ha weiland liepen elf melkkoeien en 107 schapen.
De Erven Dr. J. Timmer's Grondbezit liet in 1947 de boerderij 'Rembrandt' herbouwen en verkocht in 1948 de boerderij en het land aan de pachter en bewoner. Pieter Mantje had ook het familiebezit Spangerweg 18 verkregen.

In 1966 werd de Firma Mantje opgericht en kwam de zoon Cornelis (Kees) Hertje Pietersz. Mantje in het bedrijf. De firma had na ruilverkaveling 23½ ha land. Pieter ging op Spangerweg 18 wonen. Op 'Rembrandt' kwam Kees Mantje met zijn echtgenote Neeltje Catharina Teunisd. Wuis. Kees beeindigde in 1990 het bedrijf. De boerderij 'Rembrandt' met ca 20 are grond werd verkocht, verbouwd tot buitenhuis en na 4 jaar opnieuw verkocht. De bedstede in de woonkamer is nu een luxe voor de eigenaar/bewoner E. van Zoonen.
