Zomer.
Een rooms-katholieke boerenfamilie onder Hogeberg, polder Oostegeest, beginnende met Jacob Jansz Somer geb. ca 1640. Hij had twee zoons: Claas, een kaagschipper, en Jan (geb. 1666), die ook boer werd en het geslacht voortzette. Diens zoon Jacob (geb. 1707) huwde met Martje Pieters Hin. Dit echtpaar had een dochter Antje (1731-1777), gehuwd met Hendrik Jansz Biem op Westergeest. Met de kinderen van haar broer Jan Jacobsz Zomer verdween de naam van Texel.
