Ten zuiden grensde deze woning aan het straatje dat nu Vogelenzang genoemd wordt, dat soms ook als een glop werd aangeduid.
1785 - Jan Pieters Groot kocht huis, schuur en erf voor f 700,-. Hij was getrouwd met Antje Pieters Graaf. Zij overleed in 1814 in dit huis. Het echtpaar had geen kinderen. Nadat ook Jan was overleden erfde een dochter van zijn broer Jacob deze boerderij.
