Cornelis Gomes persisteert bij sijne attestatie dd 27-5-1769 voor Jan Star, namentlijk dat hij met Lambert Dijker op den 2-12-1769 [68] op t schip de Jonge Willem, zittende diestijds op de Bos in de grond, alleen heeft Zamen gesprooken eenvoudig weg dat hij Cornelis Gomes voor sijn schuijt en Volk zoude hebben 8 portien en dat Lambert Dijker met zijn Caag en Volk zoude hebben 4 portien, sonder dat hij Cornelis Gomes nog zijn Volk eenige de minste afspraak met t volk van Lambert Dijker heeft gehad of gehouden, en dat hij dus het woord van, ende Requiranten is Zamen gesprooken soo als daar in gemeld staad, aanmerkt voor een schrijffout en t selve bij desen herroept, als hebbende met niemand geduurende dien dagh der berging anders Zamen gesprooken als met Lambert Dijker alleen-
Eijndelijk getuijden sij alle te Zamen nog dat sij niet weeten of geduurende de berging bij t gemelde schip gehoort te hebben, hoe of op wat wijse het Volk van LD bij hem waren-
