Tijs Tiessen, verpleegde der instelling, genoot les in ’t boekhouden bij Onderwijzer van der Ham, doch wegens diens vertrek is veranderd van leermeester nl bij den heer Boonstoppel.

Plaatsing T Tiessen bij fa Vlessing- vz deelt mde dat T. Tiessen ruim een jaar bij de fa Vlessing op kantoor is geweest. Bij informatie bleek hem echter, dat men niet genegen is Thijs tegen beloning in dienst te houden. Thijs heeft in alles veel te lang werk en is bovendien eigenwijs ook. Wordt besloten Thijs nog eens te wijzen op ’t een en ander.
Eveneens wordt besloten, daar de gelden van Tiessen zijn opgeraakt het huisje bij deze familie in eigendom niet te verkoopen, doch zoo mogelijk later hierop de nog te maken onkosten met Thijs en de kostgelden hierop te verhalen.

Op 9-2 werd de vz ontboden door een hoogloopende ruzie tusschen de vader en Thijs Tiessen. Een en ander was ontstaan doordat Tiessen vader weigerde om wel te rusten te wenschen. Het gevolg van een en ander is geweest, dat Thijs en zijn moeder eerstdaags de inrichting hebben te verlaten. Vrouw Tiessen is nadien bij de vz op bezoek geweest en heeft haar wedervaren nog eens uitvoerig uiteengezet.
