Dat het lijk 't welk volgens Uwe missive dd 22 Juni is begraven na in de Zuiderzee te zijn opgevischt van deze Gemeente afkomstig is. Volgens mededeeling der famielje alhier, moet de overleden persoon zijn geweest Gerrit Brouwer Gz, wonende te Oosterend alhier. Waarschijnlijk zal binnenkort een der famieljebetrekkingen ten Uwent komen om het lijk te herkennen en vervolgens aangifte van overlijden te doen. Mogten er nog kleedingstukken aanwezig zijn, gelieve dan de goedheid te hebben, mij zulks te berichten, dezelve voorlopig te bewaren om ze aan de famielje bij overkomst te doen vertoonen.

Volgens verklaring van schipper J.P. Kuiper is in die maand in de Zuiderzee over boord geslagen de zeeman G. Brouwer en moet het deze alhier te huis behoorende persoon zijn die te Muiden is begraven, vooral daar de opgaven der kleederen van het lijk volkomen overeen komen met hetgeen de betrekkingen van G. Brouwer mij omtrent de kleederen van dezen hebben meegedeeld.
Met verzoek om het lijk te laten opgraven om het aan de belanghebbenden te vertoonen.
