Ondergeteekende zou gaarne bij willen wonen de vergadering der Nederlandsche Ornithologische Vereeniging, die in Amsterdam gehouden zal worden op Zaterdag, den 25e October a.s. Tevens wenscht hij deze gelegenheid te baat te nemen, om een bezoek te brengen aan zijn zoon, te Haarlem;
Redenen:, waarom hij U.W.E.Achtb. beleefd verzoekt, hen voor den morgen van genoemden datum verlof te willen geven, waartegen bij het Hoofd der School geene bezwaren bestaan.

[Meester Daalder ging naar die vergadering om bestellingen op te nemen van verzamelaars.
Samen met Jap Trap had hij daar een lucratief handeltje in. Na de invoering van de Vogelwet in ± 1910 mocht niet meer zoveel op vogelgebied. Dat leidde tot een scheuring in de Vereniging.
Mijn grootvader (van Irene Maas) verloor zijn bijverdienste van het strikken van lijsters, Daalder en Trap leverden ook flink inkomen in.
