Notes about Bernard Pieter "Ben" Rab

Drager van de Eremedaille in goud verbonden aan de Orde van Oranje Nassau.
Bernard Pieter Rab, de nog enig levende zoon van Jacobus Cornelis, nam in 1966 het roer van zijn vader over.
Het bedrijf in Oudeschild werd door hem verder uitgebouwd.
De al in 1961 gebouwde betoncentrale maar ook de bouwmarkt.
Deze laatste werd een bouwinformatiecentrum.
Daar de "Gamma" formule hem zeer aansprak heeft hij in 1977 een Gamma in Oudeschild geopend (in 1997 verplaatst naar Den Burg).
Dit werd in 1991 in Harlingen en in 1993 in Schagen gedaan.
Ook werd er onder zijn leiding in 1973 een groot oliedepot gebouwd.
Even leek het er op dat dit door de gas opkomst niet zo'n goede investering was.
Maar door het opkomende toerisme en het daarmee gepaard gaande auto gebruik bleek dit mee te vallen.
