    Albert ging op 8 febr 1926 naar Jipsingboermussel om het bakkersvak te leren (bakkerij Luken?)
    Op 15 juni 1934 ging hij naar de Koetsveldstraat in Doesburg om zijn bakkersopleiding af te maken en in 1938 begon hij met een eigen bakkerij in het ouderlijk huis aan Hoofdkanaal O.Z. 59 te Emmercompascuum.
    Albert hield wel van vrijheid en meende zich veel te kunnen permitteren.
    In de oorlogsjaren handelde hij behalve in bakkerij grondstoffen ook in de zogenaamde zwarthandel en na de oorlog ging hij levensmiddelen smokkelen naar duitsland. Als het zo uitkwam met volle vrachtwagens.
