Profession: winkelier in baden, geisers, sanitaire closets, haarden, kachels, fornuizen, ornamenten voor gas en electra, brandkasten, installateur van gas, water en electra; aannemer van lood- en zinkwerken; in 1932 afdelingschef van een warenhuis; in 1935 handelsagent. Begin 1900 nam Willem Petrus het aan de Piet Heinstraat 71-73 gevestigde installatiebedrijf van gas, water en licht over van zijn vader. Hij was echter niet zoân best zakenman. Mede door toedoen van zijn vrouw werd hij een zeer gelovig man (RK), hetgeen uiteindelijk zijn zakelijke ondergang werd. Al het geld dat hij bezat en verdiende ging op aan de kerk. De kerk ging voor alles! Als er enig werk voor meneer Pastoor verricht diende te worden, werden er monteurs van andere werken afgehaald en naar meneer Pastoor gestuurd. Nimmer werd er een rekening gestuurd, want dat kon toch niet! Uiteindelijk ging het installatiebedrijf, mede door de toenmalige slechte economische situatie, in 1917 failliet. De winkel aan de Piet Heinstraat 71-73 bleef gehandhaafd, getuige een aantal advertenties in de toenmalige Haagse krant âHet Vaderlandâ van de jaren 1920/21. Na het overlijden van zijn vrouw in 1932, kwam hij op 23 september 1935 vanuit Rotterdam, op 57-jarige leeftijd, via bemiddeling van meneer Pastoor bij de Dr. Meyer Stichting, een RK Wees- en Oudeliedenhuis aan de Prinsengracht 91 te âs-Gravenhage in de Parochie van de Heilige Jacobus de Meerdere, waar hij lid werd van de raad van ouderlingen. De rekeningen van de onkosten die hij uit hoofde van zijn functie maakte werden doorgestuurd naar zijn kinderen..
