MUELMAN, in leven hooggeacht én getrouw Bedienaar des Heilige Evangeliums in de Gereformeerde Gemeente te Hardenberg, in den ouderdom van circa 40 Jaaren, na eene ziekte van ruim vier Weeken, uit myne lieflijke armen door eenen Zaligen Dood op te neemen in volmaakte Zaligheden, het welk ik op waare Evangelie-gronden geloove; geeve by deezen van dit voor my en myne drie Kinderen, en voor deeze Gemeente hartgrievend verlies kenniffe aan elk Vrienden en Bekenden, en verzoeke van brieven van róuwbeklag verschoond te blyven. Notes about Bernardus Meulman

Studeerde in de godgeleerdheid en werd in 1787 predikant te Obdam, in het volgend jaar te Abbekerk, daarna te Katwijk, vervolgens te Bunschoten en in 1794 te Brouwershaven, vanwaar hij in 1796 naar Hardenberg vertrok.

Gekomen van Venhuizen. Intrede op 18-10-1789 met Efese 6: 2a: “De genade zij met allen die onze Heere Jezus Christus liefhebben in onverderfelijkheid”. Hij werd eerder die dag bevestigd door de weleerwaarde heer ds. Abraham van Rooijen van Noordwijk aan Zee met de woorden uit Deuteronomium 33:10, Zij zullen Jacob uwe rechten leren en Israël uwe wet; zij zullen reukwerk voor uwe neus leggen, en datgants verteerd zal worden, op uw altaar”. Afscheid 0 1-07- 1792. Afscheidsrede op 1 juli 1 juli 1792 met 1 Korinthe 13:12 en vertrokken naar Bunschoten. Overleden 1 mei 1798.
