Omstreeks 1752 kwam onze stamvader Lambert Jansen vanuit Oolde bij Laren, terecht in de buurtschap Riele onder Colmschate, waar hij ging werken en wonen op een boerderij, gelegen tegenover de Douweler Kolk.

Bij de doop van zijn latere kinderen noemde hij zich naar die
boerderij met namen als Lammert Jansen "op de Kolk in Riele" of "op Kolkmansplaats" en tenslotte Lambert Kolckman en Lammert Kolkman

Hij verbleef met zijn moeder en stiefvader op 't Soerland
in Oolde en vandaar dat hij zich Lambert Soerland noemde
