Notes about Gerrit Eimbert Westhof

Op 28 juni 1872 wordt hij benoemd tot sluiswachter op het Apeldoornschkanaal, op de zgn. "Koudhoornsesluis" of in de volksmond "Westhofsluis".Hij krijgt een jaarwedde van fl. 176,= en het genot van een vrijewoning. De sluis en woning bevinden zich tussen de Anklaarseweg en dePapagaaibrug. Op 10 juli 1872 legt hij de eed tot sluiswachter af op hetkantongerecht in Apeldoorn. Per 1 januari 1916 wordt zijn salarisverhoogt van fl.512,= naar fl.620,= bij Koninklijk besluit door deMinister van Waterstaat.
Op 3 oktober 1916 koopt hij van Cornelis Strietman, onder toezicht vannotaris Willem Visscher Gorter, enige percelen kadastraal bekend alssectie T, nr. 5301 t.w. bouwland, groot 33 aren, 9 centiaren en nr. 3484t.w. een huis, schuur en bouwland, groot 27 aren en 20 centiaren.
