Hij bewoonde des zomers eerst de hofstede Ruysschensteyn, aan den Amstel, die 3 April 1753 door zijne schoonmoeder, de weduwe Sautijn, aan zijne vrouw geschonken en door haar 17 Nov. 1760 voor ƒ 13.000 verkocht werd; na zijns vaders dood in ditzelfde jaar werd hij eigenaar van diens prachtige buitenplaats de Harten-Kamp, onder Heemstede en Bennebroek (welke zijne erfgenamen 17 Juli 1788 voor ƒ 34.500 aan Jan Clicqet, te Amsterdam,'verkochten). Hij hield in 1742 : 5 dienstboden, koets en 2 paarden, en werd geschat op een inkomen van F 9 a 10.000 .
