1921
Eerste Rijensche Stoomschoenfabriek J.B. Biemans en Co, Rijen

Jan Baptist (Tiestje) Biemans had een schoenmakerij in het pand Hoofdstraat 113 in Rijen. Op 24 mei 1921 richtte hij samen met Adrianus en Jan Baptist Reijnders een schoenfabriek op onder de naam Eerste Rijensche Stoomschoenfabriek J.B. Biemans en Co. Een kleine vijf jaar later, op 1 januari 1926, verbraken ze de samenwerking al. Tiestje Biemans zette de zaak alleen voort.
Op 9 mei 1927 stierf hij. De vergunning voor de schoenmakerij werd op verzoek van de weduwe Biemans ingetrokken. Het bedrijf werd opgeheven.

Over de Steenfabriek

Joan Seelen was leerlooier en kolenhandelaar, en had geen verstand van stenen bakken en daarom had hij steenbakker Jantje Vermeulen uit de streek van de steenbakkers, Udenhout, aangetrokken.

Nilus Vissenberg is volgens mij Cornelis Johannes Vissenberg, geb 3-2-1886 in GR, ovl 17-7-1957 GR gehuwd op 12-1-1923 GR met Cornelia Gerardina Dikmans, geb 24-3-1892 GR, ovl ?.
Rinus Vissenberg is volgens mij, Martinus Johannes Vissenberg (1881-1970).zie hieronder!
Theo van Loon kan ik nog niet plaatsen.

JANTJE VISSENBERG (1840-1912) kocht in 1890, hij was toen 50 jaar de Steenfabriek van de familie van de Berkel voor 80 GOUDEN TIENTJES.
De naam van de verkoper moet ik nog preciezer aangeven.
Janus (Adriaan Nikolaas) van LOON geb 7-7-1875 Alph/Riel, ovl 20-2-1960 GR was steenrijder sinds 1907 en gehuwd op 15-6-1899 GR met Antonetta Maria Hendrik van Gils, geb 27-11-1875 GR, ovl 27-8-1959 GR.
Janus van Loon, volgens artikel broer van Toon van Loon.
Kan Toon van Loon nog niet thuisbrengen. Misschien klopt Janus dan niet???

Op 7-9-1919 dus Jantje Vissenberg was al overleden, (wat is er met de aandelen van de NV gebeurd?),
BEGONNEN:
1. Zoon Rinus (Martinus Johannes) VISSENBERG, geb 23-10-1881 Teteringen, ovl 12-1-1970 Dongen.
2. ZWAGER Tiestje Biemans gehuwd met Anna Maria Vissenberg, geb 15-4-1873 Hoeven, ovl 21-4-1934 Rijen.
3. Kobke (Jacobus) van LOON geb 4-11-1870 Alph/Riel, ovl 15-8-1937 Ginn/Bavel (oudste broer van Marie Theresia van Loon)

met een nieuwe ringoven en werden VENNOOT in de FIRMA J. VISSENBERG Steenfabriek te Molenschot.

Rinus Vissenberg en Tiestje Biemans hebben deze ringoven in twee jaar tijd ZELF gebouwd
Maar Kobke van Loon was zo onhandig en eigenwijs dat de oven al meteen instortte, en het bedrijf ging daardoor bijna failliet.( volgens artikel G.Jacobs)

De oven werd opnieuw gebouwd maar nu door vaklui. En in 1924 werd Joan Seelen, directeur van de NV denk ik, niet van de Firma, hij liet een vakman, Jantje Vermeulen komen en het bedrijf kwam snel tot grote bloei, in korte tijd 150 man personeel, een tractor, en vier steenwagens met paarden en voerlui.
In 1932 vertrok Jantje Vermeulen en het bedrijf (de NV??) ging van lieverlee achteruit, en ging in 1936 failliet volgens artikel G Jacobs.
Over dit laatste punt kom ik nog terug., want ik weet niet precies hoe dat gegaan is.
Ik weet dat Jacobus (Kobke) en Martinus (Rinus) beiden persoonlijk failliet zijn verklaard, ik dacht in 1928 nog controleren, maar dat kwam volgens mij omdat Tiesje zijn geld eerder uit de Vennootschap onder Firma had terugtrokken want Tiesje wilde een grote moderne schoenfabriek bouwen, wat later de Eerste Rijensche Stoomschoenfabriek J.B.Biemans & Co zou gaan heten.

Na de geboorte van Tiestje Biemans op 6-3-1874 in Molenschot stierf zijn moeder Catharina Petrus Swolfs op 27-6-1874?
Tiestje was het vijfde kind en dat is toen ondergebracht bij zijn tante Joanna Maria Biemans die met Johannes Adriaen Pijpers op 4-3-1848 GR gehuwd was.
Zij hadden al zeven kinderen en Tiestje werd als achtste beschouwd en werd daarom ook Tiestje Pijpers genoemd.
Hun vijfde kind was Antonius Pijpers,29, geboren op 7-4-1857 GR, ovl 10-7-1914 te Ginn/Bavel en op 17-5-1886 te Breda gehuwd met Wilhelmina van den Wijngaart,29, geboren 1-1-1857 Ginn/Bavel, ovl 15-7-1946 Rijen, 89 jaar oud.
Nadat Johannes Adriaen Pijpers overleed op 19-7-1882 GR, werd Joanna Maria Biemans winkelierster.
Wilhelmina van den Wijngaard, ook wel genoemd tante Mijntje werd weduwe 10-7-1914 en zij ging toen in de Hoofdstraat te Rijen wonen, denk ik.
Volgens de overlevering was tante Mijntje licht gehandicapt, waarschijnlijk vanwege polio en daarom ging op 9 jarige leeftijd dus in 1914 de oudste dochter (onze tante To) van Tiestje Biemans die op 7-8-1903 GR gehuwd met Anna Maria Vissenberg In huis wonen bij tante Mijntje ter ondersteuning en om ook te leren naaien, en kleren maken.
