Louwreyns Schellekens werd priester, fungeerde in 1501-1504 als pastoor van de Sint-Joriskerk te Antwerpen en in 1515-1526 als pastoor van de Sint Walburg aldaar. Voorts was hij landdeken en aartspriester. In 1525 ging hij te Lier wonen, waar hij sedert 1512 een kanunniksdij bezat, op 8 mei 1528 is hij daar aan de pest gestorven.
