Notes about Abraham Janszn De Reus


REUS (Abraham Jansz. de), geb. ± 1570 te Rotterdam, overl. aldaar 24 Aug. 1637, was een zoon van Jan de Reus en kwam in 1610 in de regeering te Rotterdam. In 1618, bij de verandering in de vroedschap door prins Maurits, werd hij in dit college benoemd, waarin hij bleef zitting houden tot zijn dood. Verder was hij herhaaldelijk gedeputeerde ter dagvaart tusschen 1620 en 1631, burgemeester in 1622, 1623 en 1637 en gecommitteerde raad van 1634 tot 1637. Hij huwde 3 Febr. 1591 met Margrieta Cornelisd. de Haes van Leiden.
