''Wij Walther Boon schout, Damis Hoffman en Adriaan Lucasse scheepenen van Wieldregt hebben ons op heden met consent van de heer Jan van der Werff als gedurende de vacature door normen van den Hove en Hooge Vierschare van Zuijtholland gequalificeert tot het waernemen van het bailliuschap over de Heerlijkheijd Wieldregt, aen het Nieuwe veer, zijnde geassisteert met Johannis Libertus, chirurgijn in Dordrecht, en hebben alsaer gevonden in den buijten bermsloot met de voeten in 't water leggende seecker kint, zoo is opgegeven van Cornelis Pierre en oud omtrent vier jaer genaemt Maria Pierre, 't welk op ons ordre is in huijs gebragt en ontkleed en als doen verder bij ons is gevisiteert ende beschout, dog al omme in 't geheel gaeff ongeschonden bevonden, en dienvolgende niet anders kunnen oordeele dan dat 't zelve door het water is verongelukt. Ten oirkonde deze getekent op den 4 Meij 1744.''
