Vertè et al argumenteer egter oortuigend dat die Pieter van Zuienkerke die pa van Jan Swaenepoel, pa van die stamvader was, waarvan een faktor is dat beide meulenaars was. Sulke ambagte is dikwels van vader na seun oorgedra.
