Bindert was bij de Marine en is heel jong overleden, in Duitsland waarschijnlijk werkte hij in een neutronen cellulose fabriek.
Misschien was hij dwangarbeider?

Uit het Nationaalarchief Inventarisnummer 15383A
Bindert is in de maand januari 1943 wegens werkloosheid door tussenkomst van het arbeidsbureau te Sneek voor tewerkstelling uitgezonden naar Duitsland. Zijn politieke betrouwbaarheid was zeer goed (Anti Duits).
Volgens bescheiden die de familie in haar bezit heeft is hij 24 januari 1943 naar Walsrode in Duitsland vertrokkenen aldaar op 13 september 1943 -na veel mishandelingen te hebben ondergaan - in het ziekenhuis overleden.
Omstandigheden waaronder overleden : in concentratiekamp geweest. Hem was beloofd naar huis te gaan. Dit ging niet door en toen is hij gevlucht om thuis te komen, maar is onderweg gearresteerd. Toen moest hij naar het concentratie kamp.
