Notes about Bernard Frederik Brizee

See under "Emigration" on coret.org.

He travelled on board ships as a baker to the USA as a young man and in 1916 or 17 he joined
the USA army and therefore became a citizen of the USA. He had his own bakery in Hoboken
N.J. for a few years after his marriage but lost it all in about 1928. At the time of his death he
was fortunate to have a job as a night foreman in a commercial bakery. This was during the
depression and since he did work nights we children had very little time with him and stories of
his life were not forthcomming at least not from him.
