      Volgens het haardstedenregister van 1755 en 1764 woont Evert in het Westerse Rot nr 108, betaalt de hoogste bijdrage (4 gld) en is schoenmaker. Evert wordt 16 augustus 1780 als momber benoemd , samen met zijn broer Jan, over de 3 onmondige kinderen van wijlen Jacob Christiaan Hartman bij Claasje Everts ten Kley. Op 16 januari 1766 wordt Evert benoemd tot medemomber over Aaldert Wolters ten Kley, terwijl hij 12 februari 1768 vervangen wordt door zijn zoon Jan. Zoon Gerrit is waarschijnlijk kinderloos overleden, want 18 september 1806 wordt de vrouw van Gerrit ten Kley (Rietveld) begraven.
