Notes about Gerard FANNIUS

Mr. Gerard Fannius, geboren den 28sten April 1690, werd in 1722 Raad en Schepen te Alkmaar, in 1729 Burgemeester aldaar en Heemraad van de uitwaterende sluizen. Hij overleed te Alkmaar den 20sten Maart 1733, en was gehuwd met Catharina Sara Kien, die later hertrouwde met den Generaal Justus Philip Baron du Tour. Uit zijn huwelijk sproten twee dochters, Margaretha en Cornelia, beiden jong overleden, en een zoon Pieter Fannius, de laatste mannelijke afstammeling van zijn geslacht, geboren den 10den Februarij 1727, den 3den December 1737 overleden en te Alkmaar begraven.
