NOTE:Op 6 juli 1551 trouwt Willem van Oranje voor de eerste keer en wel met de rijke erfdochter van Maximiliaan van Buren, grafin Anna van Egmond. Alhoewel het geen liefdeshuwelijk is, is het geen ongelukkig paar. Zij schenkt hem drie kinderen: Philips-Willem, Maria en een dochtertje dat te vroeg sterft. Op 24 maart 1558 sterft Anna van Egmond.
