    In het jaar een duizend acht honderd en zestien, den achtienden der maand december des voormiddags ten half tien uuren is voor ons Mr. Emanuel Landoz, Burgemeester als ambtenaar van den Burgerlijken stand der gemeente Delft verschenen: Hannes van Boesschoten, oud 29 jaren, cannonier bij het 1 Battaljon Artillerie, wonende alhier, welke ons heeft verklaard dat Margaretha Wilkes, oud acht en twintig jaren, zijne huisvrouw op den zeventiende november van het jaar achtienhonderd zestien, des savonds ten half elf in dezelfde woning wijk 5 no. 2 van een kind van het vrouwelijk geslacht hetwelk hij ons voorsteld verklarend aan het zelve de naam Elizabeth te geven.
    De gemelde verklaring is geschied in tegenwoordigheid van Philip Lizing, oud twee en dertig jaren, cannonier, en van Johannes Schults, oud acht en dertig jaren, mede cannonier bij gemeld battaljon, beide wonende alhier.
    En hebben de vader en de eerste getuige deze acte na voorlezing nevens ondertekend, hebbende de laatstgenoemde getuige verklaard niet te kunnen lezen of schrijven.
