Notes about Juliana van Stolberg-Wenigerode

NOTE:Tweede vrouw van Willem de Rijke van Nassau, moeder van Willem van Oranje. Geboren te Stolberg op 15 februari 1506, dochter van graaf Botho van Stolberg en Gravin Anna van Eppenstein en Königstein en weduwe van Graaf Filips II van Hanau-Munzenberg. Uit dit huwelijk werd in 1533 prins Willem van Nassau geboren, naast nog 4 andere zoons en 6 dochters. Zij is voor een groot gedeelte verantwoordelijk voor zijn opvoeding en heeft bijgedragen aan het karakter van de Prins. Zij stierf op 18 juni 1580 op 76-jarige leeftijd en liet 123 kinderen en kleinkinderen achter.
