Jim a créé le site web Find A Grave en 1995 parce qu'il ne pouvait pas trouver un site existant qui répondait à son passe-temps de visiter les tombes de personnages célèbres. Il a constaté qu'il y a des milliers de gens autour du monde qui partagent son intérêt. Ce qui avait commencé comme un passe-temps bizarre est devenu un gagne-pain et une passion. En construisant et en voyant Find A Grave croître au-delà de ses attentes les plus folles a été immensément satisfaisant pour Jim. Chaque jour, les contributeurs du monde entier entrent de nouvelles données, des milliers de personnes utilisent le site comme un outil de référence pour l'éducation, des êtres chers perdus de vue sont retrouvés et le souvenir de millions de vies sont tendrement entretenu.
