Notes about Stijntje Pieters Hossemus

Stijntje Pieters woonde tijdens haar huwelijk in de Schermer onder Akersloot. De naam Hossemus komt slechts een enkele keer voor, dus zeer waarschijnlijk is zij een dochter van Pieter Cornelisz Hossemus en Arien Claes. In Akersloot is geen RK doop van haar te vinden, ook niet in de NG doopboeken van Zuid-Schermer. Ook niet in Alkmaar of De Rijp, Westbeemster. Zij heeft waarschijnlijk wel een broer, Cornelis Pieters Hossemus, gedoopt op 27-12-1700.
Haar eerste huwelijk is niet opgetekend in de DTB van Akersloot, ook geen dopen van kinderen.

Stijntje Pieters Hossemus heeft vermoedelijk na het overlijden van haar 2e echtgenoot, Krijn Jansz de Wit, in 1773 het boerenbedrijf in de Purmer nog een tijdje volgehouden. Van 10-04-1779 tot en met 28-4-1781 kreeg zij, Stijntje Pieters wede Crijn de Wit, van de regenten van Monnickendam een vergunning om te mogen tappen in Herberg De Roskam in Monnickendam. Zij huurde die herberg van Dirk van den Berg. Zij had het boerenbestaan ingeruild voor het stadse leven en wel als uitbaatster van Herberg De Roskam aan het Noordeinde, voorheen "De Ruijter" en daarvoor "Rat van Avontuur". Bijzonder is ook dat Dirk van de Bergh, eigenaar van De Roskam sinds 12-12-1775, op 28-04-1781 een tapvergunning krijgt. Blijkbaar was Stijntje Hossemus niet meer in staat om de herberg te runnen, zij overlijdt ook in 1783. Verrassend is dat ene Jan Crijnsz de Wit op 21-04-1789 een tappersvergunning kreeg voor Herberg De Roskam met Dirk van den Berg nog steeds als eigenaar. Hij moet haast wel een zoon zijn geweest van Krijn Jans de Wit alias Volkerts (maar wie zijn moeder was?). Op 10-03-1787 kreeg hij burgerregt, als volwaardige inwoner van de stad Monnickendam.
De naam Van de(n) Berg(h) komt ook voor bij het huwelijk van dochter Antje Jans de Wit met Jan Pitersz van den Bergh op 29-03-1761 te Monnickendam.
