Notes about Isaak Jacobsz Stalenhoeff

Isaak Jacobsz Stalenhoeff woonde van 1733 tot minstens 1739 in Soest aan de Hoge Birk. Deze weg loopt van Soest naar Amersfoort, net als de noordelijker gelegen Lage Birk. Tegenwoordig heet de Hoge Birk Birkstraat ook wel N221. Van 1725 tot minstens 1727 woonde ze aan het Kortend in Soest, een weg die de Hoge en de Lage Birk met elkaar verbond, waar nu de Van Lenneplaan in Soest is.

Er is een hiaat in dopelingen van Isaak en Marie tussen mei 1728 en januari 1733. Waren hun eerste twee kinderen, Jacob en Peetertie geboren aan het Kort-end in Soest, de laatste vier werden geboren aan de Hoge Birk in Soest en allen gedoopt in de RK kerk van Soest. Alleen van het derde kind, Gijsbert, is geen doop opgetekend, terwijl het doopboek over die periode geen hiaaten kent qua tijdsoverspanne. Het kwam echter wel vaker voor dat een dopeling niet werd genoteerd in het Doopboek. De pastoor werkte eens per tijd (week, maand, jaar) de DTB-boeken bij aan de hand van losse papiertjes en er ging wel eens een papiertje verloren. De DTB-boeken waren een kostbaar iets en werden bewaard in de 'kluis' van het hoogaltaar waar ook de andere kostbaarheden in werden bewaard.

Bij twee dopen werden Isaak en Marie als "a catholic" aangetekend.
