    From Brian Kalshoven: The other is my dad, Cecil Ernest. Served with distinction in the Second World War, and attained the rank of Major. He was awarded the Military Cross. After the war, worked for the Standard Oil Company, (now Caltex), the Vacuum Oil Company, the Pearl Insurance Company and eventually Rhodesia Railways. Our family moved around Rhodesia a bit, to Gwelo (now Gweru), and Salisbury, (now Harare). As the Headquarters of Rhodesia Railways, (now National Railways of Zimbabwe), is in Bulawayo, that is where he ended up, as head of Railway Security.
