1.) August war ein muskulöser Mann mit großen, breiten, sehr kräftigen Händen von der schweren Arbeit. Er war im ersten Weltkrieg 1914-1918 mit an der Front in Frankreich.

2.) Möglicherweise schon kurz nach Kriegsende trat eine schwerwiegende Erkrankung auf, die vermutlich unzureichend behandelt wurde und ihn letztlich durch den chronisch progredienten Verlauf früh in Rente brachte.

3.) Waddenhausen hiess zu Altdeutsch : Vvadtenhuson .

4.) nach der Heirat wohnhaft Hafenstrasse 42, später Mainzer Landstr.121, danach fehlen kriegsbedingt die Meldekarten von FFM.

5.) lt. Sohn Hermann war er ein sozialpolitisch engagierter Gewerkschafter
