Charles Oelrich Dies of Injuries Charles William Oelrich , 59 RR 5, Oxford-Millville Rd, succumed in Middletown Hospital Sunday 12:15 pm of injuries received Friday at 6am when his auto was struck by a southbound Baltimore and Ohio train on RR 73 in Trenton, Ohio. His death was the 36th this year in Butler County traffic related. Mr Oelrich was an electrician foreman with the McGraw Construction Company, Middletown, was born in St.Mary's , Ohio on Oct 22, 1892, the son of Frederick and Sophia Cook/ Oelrich. He married Lulu Blank of St. Mary's, Ohio March 16, 1921 . A veteran of WWI, he was an active member of St.Paul's Reformed Church in St. Mary's and had served as Deacon of the church. He resided in this area since 1927 and was affliiated with the Millville Federated Church. He was a devoted father and husband and fond of his home. He leaves his widow, Mrs Charles Oelrich RR 5, five sons Charles, of Mt. Washington, Robert of Columbus, Ohio, Gerald of Hamilton, Ohio, and Walter of RR 5 , 5 grandchildren, 1 sister M.Laura Oelrich, 1 brother Herman Oelrich of St. Mary's, Ohio and many other family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 2:30pm at the Yoder Funeral Home , St.Mary's, Ohio Burial will be in ElmGrove Cemetery, St. Mary's , Ohio.
