Moved here 1832 and became the 2nd settlers and the 1st permanet settlers in the township History of Sandusky Co. Ohio David was chosen to be the Justice of the Peace 1834 . David purchased several tracts of land from the Government starting in 1833 adding up to 320 acres . He was one of the founders of Rollersville the first town in the township. David was also the first Postmaster of Rollersville. His son William was elected as Constable . David also loaned money to many of his neighbors and seem to run a store. David Smith Jr married Rosanna David Jr died April 17, 1856at 44 years without a will. Rosanna did remarry and died 13 years later at 56. It took over 20 years to settle his estate since over 40 people owed him money when he died a total of $ 2, 280.00 Parents Peter & Julian Smith
