am a granddaughter of Richard and Ann. I have a lot of information on this family. Richard was born in 1749 and died Dec 28 1818. He married Ann Cheeseman born 1751. She died Dec 12 1830. They were married in Gloucester County Dec 1 1783. Their Children are: Arthur 1784-1867 married Mary Aden in 1825 Abraham b 1785 married Mary Sparks Jeremiah married Hope Sharp of Medford, N.J. Zacharish b 1795 married Bell Jane Aden (sister of Arthur's wife Mary) in 1815 (my ggg grandparents) Bell Jane and Mary were the daughters of Captain Alexander Aden and Francis or Margaretta Stewart. They came to this country aboute 1800 from Scotland. daughters are: Annie m Theodore Butchor Mary m Andrew Jones Priscilla m Owen Owens My mother Dorothy Powell did the history on the Powell family dating back to the 1600s. My mother died in 1991 and I have been trying to update as much information as I can. We are having a Powell family reunion in August. I think in Mays Landing.
