Eleanor de Peshale
Gender:
Female
Birth:
circa 1220
Staffordshire, , England
Death:
1254‰ (29-38)
Immediate Family:
Daughter of‰ Stephen de Pershale‰ and‰ N.N. de Peshale
Wife of‰ John de Swynnerton, II
Mother of‰ Richard de Peshale‰ and‰ Alice de Swynnerton
Sister of‰ Robert de Peshale
The Peshale manors were divided by John as follows: to his son William he gave half of the manor held of Robert de Toesni de Stafford; to his son Roger he gave the other half; to his son John he gave the Bishops manor of Peshale. The part of the manor of Peshale to William was devided between his sons Stephen and Walter. Stephen's share was conveyed by his son Robert to the same John de Swinnerton who had married his, Robert's sister and heir, Eleanor de Peshale.
The family history in this generation is very interesting. Stephen, uncle of Dr. Walter de Peshale, had three children: Robert, who died without heirs of his body; Walter, who was a priest, and therefore he died unmarried; and Eleanor who married John de Swinnerton, and thereby they became the ancestors of all the living Swinnertons.
