"Henry Robie, son of Thomas Robie, was born in England, February 12, 1618, and died in Hampton, New Hampshire, April 28, 1688. He settled in Dorchester, Massachusetts, in 1639, and in the spring of 1640, went to Exeter; New Hampshire, moving to Hampton in 1650, where he remained the rest of his life. He served as selectman in 1656, as constable in 1661, as justice of the peace for several years, and also was judge of the court of sessions. For ten years he was inn keeper at Hampton. He married (first) Ruth, who died May 5, 1673. He married (second) January 19, 1674, Mrs. Elizabeth (Philbrick) Garland, widow of John Garland, and daughter of Thomas Philbrick. She died February 11. 1677. He married (third) Sarah, who died January 23, 1703. Children, born at Exeter: Thomas, March i, 1646; John, February 2, 1649, mentioned below. Children, born at Hampton: Ruth, March 3, 1654; Deliverance. March 22, 1657; Samuel. August 4, 1659; Ichabod, November 26. 1664; Sarah. April 19, 1679: Joam, Mary. "

Henry emigrated to America from England to Dorchester, Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, in 1639. He settled that year in Exeter, New Hampshire, and was a signer of the Combination. He moved to Hampton, New Hampshire soon after 1650. He was a justice of the peace many years; justice of the Court of Sessions; constable in 1661; selectman in 1656, 1660, 1665, and 1681. He kept an ordinary (public house) for 8 or 10 years.

Henry married first Ruth Moore. Henty married second widow Elizabeth Garland on 01/19/1674. Henry married third Sarah. Henry came from England to Dorchester, MA in 1639. The same year he settled in Exeter, was a signer of the Combinatiom, removed to Hampton soon after 1650: was a selectman in 1656 and 3 times afterwards: a constable in 1661: JP many years. Sitting as a Justice in the court for the trial of Joshua Moodey, the pastor of the church of Portsmouth. He wasalso a standing juryman in the trials of Mason vs. Richard Waldron and sundry other persons in N. Hampton, for holding lands which he claimed as proprietor of the provence. Mr. Robie kept the ordinary (public house) in Hampton about 8 or 10 years.
