The Booth family inherited most of the Massey lands in 1409, with Dunham Massey remaining at the heart of the estate. In 1409 it was acquired by Sir Robert Booth, son of Sir John (Lord of Barton) on his marriage to Dulcie Venables then aged only nine.
ᖠ+ Richard Venables, younger son of Hugh Venables, baron of Kindeton. In addition to the eldest son, William there was a son John Venables of Antrobus.
ᖠ5. Sir William Venables of Bollin, knight, died 1421.
ᖠ+ Joan, daughter of Sir John Massy of Tatton and had a son Richard who was drowned aged about 8 years and two daughters.
