=====================================

Speculated as son of Oliver Dodge & Anne Dodge (Lambs) but locations do not match. The Dodge family of East Coker in Somerset are thought to have been there since at least 1349, but there are no parish records that early, and no extant wills, taxes, or property records to tie early families together, as yet.
Seen as brother of Isaac Dodge Who lived in a different part of England.

John Dodge and Agnes seen as the parents of John Dodge born about 1574.

John Dodge (b 1574) a resident of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, left a will dated 2 April 1635, probated 5 October 1635. In it he mentions his sons Michael, William and Richard, and a daughter Mary. William and Richard can easily be identified as those who settled in what is now Beverly, MA, based on circumstantial evidence.

Other evidence suggests that there were Dodges in other parts of Somerset and the move to Sough Somerset may have been associated with the plague about that time.
