The parents of William Bailey are not documented. He was born ca 1764 and living with Agnes Moseby La Force in KY when they were captured by the British at Martin Station.
They were held as prisoners of war from June 24, 1780 until Oct 1782.
Rene, Jr. was accidentally killed by a son on way to KY in 1777.
Wm. Bailey was not the son of Rene and Agnes as some assume because they already had son Robert. William La Force born 1756. I believe Wm. Bailey to have been their grandson-- born to Son X who would have been born in the 1740s as was Zulina and Trephenah. I have reason to believe his mother was Elizabeth Bailey La Force.

William Bailey laforce had son Cornelius H. Laforce . He was living next to james Neaves in 1850 Pendleton Co., ky census. I have a Joseph Laforce b 1812 in familytree which I beleive to be a brother. he said he was born in France on census? Joseph lived in same area and married susannah woodyard , i think from Woodford Co., ky. Joseph uses Cornelius name in suceeding generations?

Joseph Gatewood La Force was the brother of Cornelius Holemam La Force. Joseph m. Susan Neaves, probably the daughter of James Neaves.
Neither Joseph nor his father was born in France. He must have meant his ancestors were from France. Joseph was born in Woodford Co, KY about 1812/1815. Cornelius H. La Force was also born in Woodford Co. Cornelius, for which he was named, was his mother Nancy Holeman's brother.
William Bailey La Force had other children by Sarah Goodwin in Botetourt Co, VA. They also were in W. B.'s household and living near Cornelius Holeman La Force.
Joseph's son Zachiariah Taylor La Force lived in Pend. Co and later in Harrison Co, KY. He is buried in Cynthania, KY.

we have James Neaves listed as Susannah's father, walter Neaves as grandfather, from Bracken Co., Ky. yes, Zachariah was Joseph's son, we still have a family member who remembers his wife, Aunt Fanny. I am going to go to the 1850 census of Pendleton Co. and find how many brothers are living there. Where did you find your information on William Laforce's family or how do you know that they were brothers? We have a large library here in Houston, Clayton Library.
