Notes about David Elder

..and he US mailed a copy of a letter included in the Bible, which

included some of the following details:

Thomas Elder, a son of the Rev. John was a very prominent man. He was

prest. [sic] of the Harrisburg Bank. I think it was his son Thomas who

was the first attorney general of the State of PA. One of (Rev. John

Elder's brothers) David Elder was my ancestor. He had four or five

brothers and one sister Grizzel Elder, a sort of phamton [sic] figure about

whom little is known. ..Rev. John Elder had two sons, Colonels in the

American Revolution. One, Col. Joshua Elder was educated a surveyer,

surveyed Harrisburg. At one time the Rev. John Elder owned most of the

town, but got rid of it before it got to be valuable. (No mention of

the 2nd Col.)

This letter was written in 1937 on the letterhead of The Elder Coin and

Curio Corp. by Thomas L. Elder, President & Treasurer, 37th St, NYC.
