It was Senhor de Teixeira, faithful to King João I, who made him lord of the lands of Teixeira that belonged to his parents and grandparents but had been confiscated. He married Catarina Annes de Berredo daughter of Gonçalo Annes de Berredo and Dona Sancha de Gusmão
