Notes about Oluf Rasmussen (Oluf Rasmussen) Thestrup

 Han tog studentereksamen i Århus 1625, i 1636 var han hører på Sorø Kloster, og siden var han Axel Brahes skolemester. I 1640 blev han præst for Dalby og Stubberup menigheder på Fyn, og i 1672 blev han tillige provst for Bjerge Herred efter Poul Olufsen Bagger i Kjølstrup. Ole Rasmussen Thestrup fik da de svenske tropper huserede her i landet et af den svenske konge Carl Gustav underskrevet "SalvaQuerdie" brev som gjorde Dalby præstegård til et fristed for mange af slægten. Brevet er dateret februar 12. 1658, er skrevet på tysk.
Han var en lærd og brav mand, og en meget agtet mand.
