Mathias Hansen Tostrup, født 17. juli 1711 i Himmelev. Død 7. december 1784 i Svenstrup. Forældre: Degn i Himmelev Hans Rasmussen Tostrup. og Maren Madsdatter Skarreskov. Dimitteret Roskilde 1730. Cand. theol. 21. oktober 1937 (2. karakter).
15. marts 1943 sognepræst på Anholt. 7. maj 1745 sognepræst Svenstrup. 1. juni 1763 -1783 konstitueret provst Als Nørre Herred.
Da MHT kom til Svenstrup fra det "fæle og enligtliggende sted" Anholt. led haan af skørbug, som helbredtes her.
Gift 17. juli 1743 i Søegaard med Petronelle Lorentzdatter Øegaard født i Sorå 1. september 1714, død 20. april 1793. Forældre: Stadskirurg i Sorø Lorentz Jensen Øegaard og Sophie Cathrine Rojum.
Fader til sognepræst i Sakskøbing Hans P. Tostrup. Svigerfar til sognepræst i Kliplev J.N. Klincker og sognepræst i Karlebo O.J. Huulegaard.
