Notes about Samantha Emma Halterman

I think that the name of John Halterman as her father on her death certificate is wrong. The informant was not able to give her birth date (only an approximate age of about 76) and did not know the name of the mother either.
John S Halterman and Mary Holder did not have a daughter named Samantha Emma in their census records in White Co TN.
There is a Samantha living in Warren Co TN in 1860 and 1870 who was the daughter of John S Halterman’s brother Melvert Halterman and his wife Eliza Julia Lane Halterman Blackburn. There is an Emma Halterman living as a servant in the household of J B Ritchey in Warren Co TN in 1880. In 1881 Emma Halterman married Sampson McWirter in Warren Co TN.
